Passion or Practicality?
Many of us wanted to choose our dreams.
Many wished to be like this, or like that. We aim for something that we can hope for. But not all the time we can get what we what. Life is an upside-down, twist and turns of reoccurring events that we cannot revise, change or even ignore. Most of us would wish that maybe, someday, we can get hold of the thing we've been dreaming the most. But we lack. We lack resources, in the budget, in terms of things that we know are too much for us.
Hence, dreaming to succeed in our chosen profession, in our chosen school, chosen course, chosen dreams, was all we can do.
If I am to aim to become a lawyer, I have to have the money in preparation. I have to choose the best course that I would perfectly fit and I should not let anyone choose for me. But, the thing about chasing our dreams comes with a price. It is either having enough money to fund our studies or just choosing an alternative course that will also suffice.
It is always passion versus practicality.
We can strive hard and get many scholarships if we really wanted that certain course. But can you do the things that are a requirement for that certain scholarship? If you were to apply, will you maintain the grades that they required? Will you do the things they asked you to do just to be the beneficiary of the scholarship?
Most would likely not, some might probably spend all the nighters just to maintain their grades and study so hard, others might be financially capable and just got lucky to still be the beneficiary of the lucky scholarship.
Everyone's perseverance has a huge impact on the way they succeed.
We can be passionate about something we always wanted to be.
But being pressured, having incapabilities and doubts has been giving a huge hole in someone's confidence. Adding to it, being financially incapable and having your own fair share of troubles in deciding adds up to the burden.
So if you were me, what will you choose?
